Next sleep over being planned for 25th May and a camp, if we can get it 10 - 12th August. During sleepover will look at how we can better be involved and active in CF-xtra, Federations youth initiative.
April 2012...
Where is the year going, are we really a third of the way to Christmas. Last week it was to MacDonalds and the Easter story. How? Because our young people did not have enough to pay for they wanted so the bill was paid for them. Something they could never pay the cost of was paid for them and then a discussion about the Easter story.
In the meantime we had Johnny English and what the bible says about violence.
February 2012...
Where is the year going. We have already used Transformers and looked at how we are transformed and are now just starting to think about not 1, not 2, but 3 possible camping events this year. The pizza's and dougnuts continue to flow so if just hungry why not pop in a nd see what the fuss is about.
No Trick just Treat Night.
While some were out doing trick or treat we remembered for some this can be a frighteneing night. All the young people made and brought cholocates, cakes etc and these were delivered to a local care home - no tricks, just a treat!

7th Aug - The events in the Horn of Africa make us realise how much we have so we looked at toys at home and some of the toys and facilities one of our leaders came across in parts of Africa. here they are.....

26th July and still it keeps coming. Sponsorship now up to £610.96!
4th July - Last night was bowling night and congratulations to us the winning team - no thanks to us adults who got beaten by just about everyone. Then came the challenge. What bowling got to do with a youth church and faith. This..... most used the bumpers (I still think that should result in a 50% penalty) and the bumpers keep us on track on target. What does the bible do. The same in our lives. It keeps us going in the right direction and adjusts our course if we go astray. See we can learn in may ways. Film, computers, sleepovers, car washing and now bowling!
4th July
Yesterday we handed in some £600.96p and it is still rising, money raised for the Africa project from the car washing and sleep over. And we do not keep a penny of it. Everything will go to making lives just a little better for those most in need in Kenya. We help everyone but we can help some.Why not check out some of the BBC websites to see how bad things are in the horn of Africa with famine at this time. Congratulations to all who particpated in doing their bit to change the world and to all those who donated and sponsored a heart felt thank you.
18th June - And the good news just keeps flowing. One of our leaders (Candi) has been selected to visit Malawi in October on her first missions related trip. Congratulations Candi and we look forward to lots of photo's and lots of stories.
10th June - They completed their sleepover, well that is what we called it, can't remember much sleep, but all in aid of our Africa project (again see the campaign page) Watch this page to see what they achieved. There was a good side for us older ones......... the breakfast after wasn't half bad!
Some things just have to be done!
7th May 2011 - Our group of young people recently raised £86 car washing. None of the money is for them, it will all go to the African project (See Campaign page).
Coming up there will be a sponsored sleep, (or lack of sleep,) over in our lower room. Again everything towards Africa.
